Learning, achieving, working together

Anglo-Saxons and Vikings

In Year 4 we have been learning about the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. During the term we have used our geography skills to find out about how the UK was split into kingdoms and also where the vikings came from. We have also learnt about some of the different battles during this time and items that were made by the vikings and Anglo-Saxons. Vikings ships have also been a focus and we have created our own 3D art work of a viking ship.

After half-term we had a special visitor who came in and taught us about being a Viking. We made our own headbands and learnt about life in a viking village and the games they would play. We also had our own battle and learnt how to create a shield wall.
