Learning, achieving, working together

Sports Ambassadors

Playground Buddies

On the 16th of September 2015, 4 chosen children, Jack, Ryley, Cosima and Millie, went to Bedfordshire University to learn about leadership skills and some game ideas for helping KS1 children who do not get involved with sport or find it difficult to play outside. Most of the things we learnt on our trip will be added to the playground buddies. Our trip to Bedford has really improved our leadership skill, so hopefully the younger children will have more fun on the playground.

To show what we learnt, we made our own assembly, selecting 3 of our favourite games from the trip such as: Treasure Chest, Balancing bean bags and throwing bean bags.  We interacted with the younger children by asking them to play our games; everybody enjoyed it.

Make sure your children come to Playground Buddies where we will help them to interact with other children and learn some important sport skills. Buddies take place every lunchtime from quarter to one until five past one.

Thank you for taking your time to read this.
