Ivinghoe Beacon
On Tuesday 20th October 2020 Year 5 and Year 5 & 6 went to Ivinghoe Beacon and Ashridge Forest. We were comparing two biomes as part of our geography. When we all arrived at Ivinghoe we got into our groups which, the teacher made for us. We headed off to our big journey ahead which was climbing the largest hill in the local area.
On the way, we stumbled across mud and rocks along with some other hikers. At first, we thought it would be hard to walk up the hill but over time it got easier. We approached the hill finally after a long and slippy walk. I bet you can guess which children in year 5 and 6 were covered in mud!
Later on, we went to look at the forest biome (Ashridge). We enjoyed lots of things like; running up the field and playing in the mud, climbing trees, gymnastics and lots more!
