Our Core School Rules:
These rules are to create a self and welcoming environment for our children to flourish. We work hard to instill these attitudes and behaviours into all our stakeholders, and all members of our school community are held to account by these same rules.
These rules underpin everything that we do, including how we planned our curriculum. These rules are revisited at the start of every assembly with different ideas as to how we can show that we are following the rules.
A few examples that children have shared as to how we follow our school rules are:
Be Kind
- no hurting
- share
- take turns
- be polite
- use kind words
Show Respect
- no hurting
- be polite
- consider different opinions
- look out for everyone in our school
- don't treat people differently because of how they look
Aim High
- work hard
- try your best
- don't give up
- don't say, "I can't do this."
The No Outsiders ethos is a whole-school approach, created by Andrew Moffat, promoting inclusive education by teaching children about diversity and equality through age-appropriate picture books and discussions, ensuring "Everyone Different, Everyone Welcome," so no child feels like an outsider, preparing them for modern Britain by fostering acceptance of all identities, families, races, faiths, abilities, and sexual orientations, aligning with British Values of respect and tolerance.
