Admissions Arrangements

Please use this page for important information regarding moving children into or between schools.  We will advertise school open events and key dates for secondary transfers.  

Reception Admissions 2026 - 2027

We are currently offering these dates and times for a school tour:

Thursday 24th September 2026 10am

Thursday 08th October 2026 10am

Thursday 22nd October 2026 2pm

Thursday 12th November 2026 2pm

Thursday 26th November 2026 9:30am

Thursday 03rd December 2026 9:30am

Parents of children coming up to school age will receive a booklet from Hertfordshire County Council, which contains information as to how to apply for a primary school place.

or by contacting the admissions team on 0300 123 4043.

All responsibility for admission to our school lies with Hertfordshire County Council, so our Headteacher will not be able to give you a firm offer of a place.  The up to date admissions criteria is set by Hertfordshire County Council. 

If you are considering applying for a place for your child at Micklem Primary School and would like to visit the school to look round the premises, please contact the school office, and we will arrange an appointment for you.
