30th March

STOP PRESS - New blog on Purple Mash.  I'm really enjoying seeing what you're up to, but it would be great to have more of you on the blog!!!  Look in Computing...Blog...Class Blog

Week starting 30th March.  I thought I'd put up most of the week's resources in one go.  Please don't try and do them all on the first day:

English - please complete the writing unit about High Diving Giraffes that was sent home with you.  The resources should still be on last Monday's learning if you can't find them: Monday - listen to sports commentaries and practise adverbials; Tuesday - use the 5 w's (who, what, where, when, why) to write an introduction to a sports commentary; Wednesday - use speech punctuation; Thursday and Friday - plan, write and edit your sports commentary.  It would be great to see your finished work.

Computing - Give this a try.  I've set up a blog in Purple Mash.  See if you can find it and add a message or even a picture about what you've been learning at home.  The blog is only for us to see, but don't forget to be respectful with your messages and follow the SMART guidelines.  Go on purple mash - look for computing - Blog - Class blog.

Reading - keep reading.  Don't forget I sent home lots of comprehensions that you should work on.

Science - it would be great to see finished pieces of work showing what you know about SPACE.  I even found a song in this week's free songs(look under Wednesday): https://www.outoftheark.co.uk/ootam-at-home/?utm_source=homepage&utm_campaign=ootamathome2&utm_medium=banner

RE - I've put up some resources for the whole school to explore Easter.

PE - keep being active.  I'm exhausted from trying Joe Wicks, so I'm going to try chilling with Yoga this week. https://www.youtube.com/user/CosmicKidsYoga .  They've even got a Minecraft themed video.

Maths - I'll add a different worksheet below each day.  If it's a skill that you're already good at please try a different activity (look on the learning resources page, in your home pack or on purple mash).

20 more things to do indoors

Monday maths - Primes and Factors. A number can be divided by its factors (12 has 1,2,3,4 and 6 as factors). Prime numbers have only 2 factors (2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19)

Wednesday maths - bus stop (short) division: three levels of challenge (* ** or ***). Look at both pages for each challenge

Thursday maths - division word problems. If you need spend extra time practising Wednesday's work first.

Friday maths - multiplication and division problems - Enjoy your two week holiday!
