Week beginning 7.12.20

Hello,

I hope that you are not at home because you are poorly, but if you are, get well soon.

It is only 2 weeks until Christmas - how exciting is that?

This week in English we are going to be reading 2 great Christmas books. The first one is 'Jesus' Christmas Party'. We are going to be reading like we mean it! So the first thing to do is read the book, taking time to look at the pictures and think about what is happening in the story. Then read again, taking time to read with expression. Can you scoop up your words into phrases? When you have read the story all the way through twice it is time to do  a performance read. Read for other people to listen to and be proud of what you have achieved!

At the end of the week, you will be listening to The Santa Trap. Have fun being a writer and an illustrator.

In Maths we are learning to tell the time. follow the video each day and take time to practise. There are activities for you to do, but make sure you look at a real clock and make the times and see how the hands move as you turn them.
