Warm up task: Apostrophes for contraction.

Don't forget you won't always write all the words, you can use an apostrophe to contract some.

BE CAREFUL with number 5. 

It's means it is.

If you were talking about the Phoenix and its fiery mouth, you don't need an apostrophe.

Main Task - Hearts and Minds.

How does the captain feel at different points in the story?  What does he think?  Fill in these first two columns first.  Then have a think how you could use a sentence to show not tell these feelings.  E.g. he clenched his fists and stared straight at the creature.
