Learning, achieving, working together

Introduction

Good Morning Year 6!

I hope that you all had a fantastic weekend.

Welcome to your home learning.  What will this include?  Everyday I will set you an English and maths activity and set you some science or topic work (or a longer project).  There are loads of activities in your work from home pack that you can have a go at - if you haven't finished them all already!

Remember that you have got lots of resources to help you continue your learning at home such as: Times Tables Rockstars, your revision guides, Purple Mash (which you will get a log in for soon) and others.  There are so many good resources available for free at this time that you could have a look at.

Don't forget, that every week day, 9.00 til 9.30, Joe Wicks will be running a PE lesson for the entire nation live from his youtube channel!  Have a go.

Make sure that you are spending time reading and practising your basic maths skills everyday - we need to keep your brain active.

If you have any questions about the learning that I set please email me at  year6@micklem.herts.sch.uk

I hope that you enjoy the tasks that I set you and remember to see how many of your indoor activities you can tick off.  I can't wait to see who gets the most!

Talk to you soon.

Mr. Swift

Good morning Parents and Carers!

Please encourage your children to attempt as many tasks as they can.  We want to keep their brain and body as active as possible!  I would ask that you ensure that you spend some time reading with your children every day to support them in this incredibly important skill and you could even challenge them on Times Tables Rockstars!  I would also like to point you in the direction of a list of fun indoor activities that I have sent home with your child, I hear that they can be fun for people of all ages so get stuck in!!

Please do not feel the need to print out the resources.  Just take a picture of the questions and children can work in their exercise books.  Year 6 are used to writing the questions into their books if needed.

I hope that everyone is keeping well and hope to see you all again soon.  Do not hesitate to use the above email to contact me if you have a learning question.

Thank you for your continued support.

Mr. Swift
