Marking 60 years of Micklem Primary School

Saturday 6th July 2019

We are 60 years old this year and we want to mark this occasion.  We want to bring together the communities and people, who overtime have contributed to the school we have today.  You might be a former pupil, a past member of staff, a governor or a volunteer.  Whoever you are we would love you to return to our school, rekindle old (good hopefully) memories and reunite with old friends and colleagues.

The day will run in three parts.  During the morning we will be having a general open morning where current students will be running guided tours for any interested visitors.  This will be from 10 till about 11:30.  We are then holding our Summer Fair which is organised by the PTA and we will be raising much needed funds to help revamp our 'quiet area'.

From 2:30pm we will be holding our reunion event which will be for people who have asked to be on our guest list.  We are aiming at over 21s simply because we have limited space and under 21s will probably live locally and can pop back at any time.   We will be offering a simple BBQ and a few refreshments and we hope that people will be able to re-connect and share memories.  We will hopefully have a display of old photos and other documents and if you have anything from your time at the school, please bring this along to share.  We are looking forward to seeing you for either all or part of the day.

To make sure you are on our guest list please email 60@micklem.herts.sch.uk
