Learning, achieving, working together

Thursday

Hi Year 2,

Did you receive your letter in the post yesterday? I know a lot of you did and very sadly lots of you had lost their beans as they travelled in the post! Don't worry we are sorting this out and you will all have your bean very soon! I have put up a video of me putting my bean in the bag to get growing - you can have a look if you would like some help on how to get started (It's on the VIDEO RESOURCE CENTRE).

For English today you are going to be looking at some information about The British Museum in London and then adding some sub-headings to help the reader find their way around. After you have finished, there is a link to look inside the museum. Have a look, it is full of so many interesting things!

In Maths, I have set you some multiplication and division practice. There are lots of sheets and you don't need to do them all. Choose the ones you would like to do - this will be your Maths learning for today and Friday. If you have forgotten what to do, have a look back at the work we have done before. If you need help, send me an email (year2@micklem.herts.sch.uk) or tell me on the blog.

How are you getting on with your reading challenge? I hope you are enjoying the book you have chosen. If you would like to listen to another story, go onto the video resource centre and listen to Mrs Stokley reading JASPER'S BEANSTALK. It's a funny story! Do you think Jasper is a good gardener?

Enjoy your day,

Mrs Cavender smiley
