Dear Year One

Firstly I would like you to do a little revision on the continents and the oceans.

Then, I would like you to write a report about Africa.  Can you find it on a map?  Year 2 are going to be looking at India - can you try and find that on a map too? Can you name any countries in Africa?

Your report should include:

weather

traditional food

traditional clothing

native animals

and anything else that interests you.

You can draw pictures or find photos from the internet.  I have uploaded a powerpoint for you to watch to get you started. I would like to see some of your best writing too.  Please send you reports to year1@micklem.herts.sch.uk.
