Learning, achieving, working together

Wednesday 29th

Good Morning year 4

Thank you for all your updates on the school blog, purple mash and emails.  It really cheers me up and everyone has been doing such different things and I am finding out things I didn't know about you all.  Who knew Malachi liked Pokemon?  wink and it looks like pets and teddies have been looking after you.

English

In English today we are continuing with our stories from other cultures.  There has been some great work produced and weren't some of those African folktales a little strange?  Sometimes it was hard to understand the message.  No one has guessed which tale I read yet though.

Listen to me reading today's story and then pick any 5 questions from the comprehension to answer.  If you want to answer them all, please do.  The main task today is to create a dialogue between two characters in the story, I explain at the end of the video. Enjoy!

The tale of Yeh-Shen, a Chinese Cinderella.

Maths

Until I can get my power point to work (which may now be tomorrow) please could you pick a couple of the maths activities to have a go at and make sure you are practising your times tables.

I found this website that tests your knowledge on geography.  If you get chance to have a look, you could find out some information about the different countries that our stories are from.

As always any questions please email me year4@micklem.herts.sch.uk

Stay safe
