Learning, achieving, working together

Monday 8th June

Good morning year 4

Welcome to another week of home learning!  I hope you enjoy the activities and remember to email me if you have any questions.

This week we are looking at mental and written calculation for multiplication and division.  Each day there is a video clip to watch and a worksheet with answers.

As an alternative, if this is too tricky to tackle at home,  I have put a different worksheet to practice maths basics for doubling, halving and grouping so feel free to try these instead.

Finally for those of you who are hungry for more, try the problem of the day activity sheet.

Multiply 2-digit number by 1 digit number

This week's learning will focus on diary writing.  The activity for today is to identify key features in a diary entry.  As an extra activity I have uploaded a word search and as a new activity this week I will be uploading a daily spelling challenge smiley  I hope you enjoy!

Science and fun stuff

As we have been in lock down because of the Coronavirus, at Micklem we thought it would be a good opportunity to learn more about our bodies and viruses.  There are videos, experiments (some really gross!) and fact sheets for you to try out.  Start by watching the video and taking the quiz and then have a go at the activity.

MICROORGANISMS - Also known as germs!

Finally have a go at making a moving fish with paper.

Have a good day.  Stay safe.
