Primary School

Learning, achieving, working together

Year 1

For Halloween we have been making potions and hunting for spiders

We read My Cat Likes to Hide in Boxes. We then made our own boxes and made some cats out of salt dough. Look in the Gallery to see our finished cats and boxes!

We retold the story of The Gigantic Turnip

In English and Science we looked at The Three Little Pigs and we used their materials to build houses.

In Computing we have been and will be looking at Beebots until half term. We found it a challenge to programme them but will persevere! Take a look at the Gallery to see us playing with them!

We went on a number hunt and then had to order the numbers to make a number line.

We learnt about the importance of making mistakes and how we can learn lots from this. To make this very clear each child made a mistake monster and named them. Hopefully this will promote a classroom where we are not afraid to make mistakes. Take a look at the Gallery to see our monsters!

We went on a hunt to learn where everything was and practice our counting skills

We have made Pocket People to help us self - register. We tried to make them look like ourselves but we could dress in anything we wanted. Take a look at the Gallery to see our finished Pocket People.
