Hello everyone,
Sorry that you are not with us this week. Hopefully you will be back very soon.
We have another busy week of learning planned and you can join us! Remember to keep up with your reading on Oxford Owl: https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/ class login - username: micklem, password: thanks.
In phonics we are practising split digraphs and learning to use the grapheme oul which makes a sound like the oo in book. We will be spelling the word family - would, could and should.
In English we will be carrying on with the story of Dogger by Shirley Hughes. Listen to the story here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNOYgRf5jes
Can we retell the story? Can we use some of the story language in our retelling? Remember to speak clearly and use lot of expression!
We will be learning to use story maps and to write another story, like Dogger, but using different characters.
In Maths we are learning to measure. This is a perfect thing to practise at home! Follow the power point and stop at each activity. Have fun measuring!
See you very soon,
Mrs Cavender
