Hi Year 2!
This is the last week of our summer term and we will be breaking up for the holidays on Thursday! We will all have a lovely holiday I know and when you come back you will be in Year 3! Mr Swift is so lucky to have you as his class. Did you have a good transition day on Thursday? I hope that you did and that you are feeling excited about coming back to school in September! I am so looking forward to seeing you all again then.
So, over the next 4 days we will be continuing to learn about jungles in English and shape in Maths. Today we will be listening to a lovely story by John Burningham called 'Oi, Get Off Our Train!'. Enjoy listening to it on this link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyGApcJRtSw
The story is all about endangered animals and you are going to do some reading to find out all about endangered animals on this website: https://www.dkfindout.com/uk/more-find-out/special-events/endangered-animals/ Follow my lesson video and find out all about our learning today!
In Maths today you are going to be exploring 2D shapes and finding out all about symmetry!
When you have finished you will know enough to play this game: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/symmetry/symmetry-sorting
Have a lovely day,
Mrs Cavender
