Week beginning 2.11.20

Welcome back everyone. I had you had a lovely half term and managed to see some friends and have some fun! Our first week back in school is very special because we are learning all about Growth Mindset and what it means for everyone at Micklem School. Every afternoon, we will be learning about Growth Mindset and how it helps us learn. There is a power-point video to lead you through and every day we will be reading a story to help us understand. If you are at home learning, I have put a link for you to follow and you can listen to the story there. There are lots of videos to watch too! If you have any problems seeing them, there is another link to follow, so that you don't miss out on anything.

Maths, English and phonics are here for you everyday. In English we will be talking about our favourite toys and why they are so special, while reading the lovely Shirley Hughes book 'Dogger. In Maths we will be learning to measure - work alongside us at home using whatever you can find! Phonics this week is all about split digraphs - like a-e in cake or o-e in stone. These always make the sound of the vowels name.
