English - writing about writing
Poets spend a lot of time writing. Sometimes they end up writing about writing!
To see what I mean, have a look at Karl's poems 'I write these poems' and 'writer's block.' You could make notes about them in your poetry journal.
Poetry Journal Task
I would like you to use your journal to explore how you feel about writing (in particular how you feel about writing poetry). You can write in sentences or in a mindmap. You can add pictures. You could write a poem about writing. You could write a poem about finding it easy or hard, about loving or hating it or not being sure. I'd love to see how you do feel about writing.
Maths - number.
Today we've got some ordering numbers challenges (p.4,5 or 6 of the booklet). To do your working out you can make place value columns to help compare the numbers. If you want more challenge you can have a go with decimals.
We've also got a challenge where the sequences get bigger or smaller each time by 10, 100, 1000 etc. (p.11)
