Welcome to Year 2 with Mrs Burns and Miss Gurney!

 

We have been doing lots of learning so far around our topic:

Australia

 

We have been using maps to find different places in Australia including the Great Barrier Reef and Sydney Harbour. 

 

We are all very interested in Australian animals and have been reading and writing creation myths such as 'Kangaroo and Porpoise'. 

 

In maths we have been mixing our own drinks using measuring cylinders and jugs. 

We are very excited about our trip to the singing festival at St John's Church and have been learning lots of songs!
