The role of the Governing Body
The Governing Body is responsible for overseeing the financial performance of the school and ensuring its money is well spent. This role is delegated to the Resources Committee. All Governors are provided with regular budget monitoring updates. The Resources Committee scrutinises school spending and that spending is within budgeted amounts and where there are significant changes, that these are discussed and agreed. The school development plan is closely linked to the school budget as part of overall school improvement.
