Learning, achieving, working together

Morning everyone! I hope that you were able to meet with us at register time this morning. It has been lovely to see you and share some of your work!

If you did miss the Zoom session, don't worry, this is what we are doing today.

The story of Jack and the Beanstalk is all about a boy and a beanstalk that he just did not imagine would grow and lead to all the surprises that came with it! Today I am going to share the story of Jasper's Beanstalk. In this story we meet a cat who is fed up because his beanstalk will not grow... Read the story, working out the tricky words. Now read it again like you mean it! Scoop up the words, use the punctuation to help you and try to use lots of expression. When you are happy with it, maybe someone could record you telling the story! I would love it hear it.

For Maths today, I would like you to go back on to TimeTables Rockstars and beat your score from yesterday! For the rest of the Maths learning time, I would like you play games, how much fun is that?

This is a link to the games that we have learnt to play in class. This will help your parents to understand how to play the game. Enjoy learning while you play!

For spelling and handwriting, time for a quiz! Can you ask an adult to check out what you have learnt? How did you do? If there are some tricky words catching you out, just make a note of them for next week's spelling time. You can have another go to climb out of the pit then.

Parents, the plan for our learning on Monday is that we will be teaching through the SeeSaw app and I hope that you now have got the app and your login details. If you are having any difficulties with this please drop me an email to and I will help you out.

Finally for today, try to get outside for a walk, a scoot or a cycle. If you can't do that, play some music at home and dance until you're out of breath and giggling!

Enjoy your weekend everyone and I will see you on Monday.
