Hi Year 3
How did you get on with your description of the tomb I uploaded yesterday? Today we will continue working on our descriptions of the tomb, however, you will be exploring similes and metaphors to describe the different features of the tomb. Discuss that a simile is a comparison which finds similar characteristics in two objects and compares them, always by using the words 'like' or 'as'. E.g The clouds were like cotton wool. We use similes to make their writing richer and give the reader a good picture of what is being described. Use the pictures on the sheet below to help you.
In Maths continue to practice telling the time on an analogue and digital clock. I've also included a times tables rock stars sheet and an arithmetic sheet.
Please see examples of Elizabeth's introduction to the video.
Send me some written examples of your stories and your Maths work.
