Good morning Year 6!
I hope that you found yesterday's learning interesting and that you managed to have a really good go. I saw some evidence of some really nice work yesterday and saw a few of you interacting with the blog, which is great.
Today we are going to carry on our work with ratio and continue to use "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" for our English.
I see that some of you noticed that I made a mistake on one of the answers yesterday in the quick maths. Can you believe it?! If you noticed it - well done. If not, can you spot where the mistake was?
This sheet has 3 challenges. Pick which one you feel is suitable for you. Try to think about the questions as ratio. For example if it takes 30 minutes to cook 1kg of beef, the ratio would be 30:1.
So if you want to know how long to cook 2kg for, use the ratio 30:1.
30:1 = ?:2, what have you done to the one to get two?
Multiplied it by two, so do the same to the 30.
30 x 2 = 60.

Have a look at the picture below. Does the creature look familiar? What animal does it remind you of?
Hi Year 6!
This week, learning is going to be a little different. In maths, there will be some days where I show you some lesson slides, you might even be lucky enough to hear my voice! In English, we will be carrying out some activities around part of a story which we will read together.
It has been great over the last few weeks to see what some of you have been up to but it would be even better if I could hear from more of you. So check out the blog at https://micklemprimary.primarysite.blog/ and show me (and the rest of Year 6) what you have been learning and how you have been keeping busy.
