Shang Dynasty
In the Autumn Term we learnt about the Shang Dynasty. We learnt about Chinese myths including the story about King Yu and the flood. Year 5 created their own Chinese myths and learnt about life during the time of the Shang Dynasty.
We used the technique of paint blowing to create a tree and then used our fingers to add the blossom to create a cherry blossom tree. We also used black paint and recreated a bamboo and panda scene and watched how traditional Chinese painters create landscape and bamboo paintings only using black paint.
