Speech, Language, Communication and Autism Team 

The Speech, Language, Communication and Autism Team (SLCA) are a team of qualified teachers and specialists who support children and young people who have needs relating to speech, language, communication and autism.

They work with children and young people aged 0 – 25 years old. The child or young person might not have a diagnosis but might:

• have difficulty with social communication and interaction
• seek repetitive routines
• have a strong interest in particular subjects
• struggle to access the curriculum (the subjects studied at school)
• have sensory needs or sensitivities

The speech, language, communication and autism needs advice line is in place to help you with any queries you may have. It's available during term time on Tuesdays and Wednesdays 1.30pm - 4pm.
