Primary School

Learning, achieving, working together

Friday 1st May

Good morning year 4

I was so impressed with all the drawings from the link yesterday and I'm happy that so many of you had fun with it.  If you have any questions regarding the learning or are finding it a bit tricky just ask your grown ups to send me a message or email me on Purple Mash.  It is a difficult time for all of us and whilst it is important to keep up with your learning, there are many different ways we can do this while you are at home.

So this week we have looked at rounding.  Listen to today's presentation for the final task of the week and select a challenge from below or if you prefer you can revisit Monday's presentation to really start to embed your knowledge on rounding.

I have seen some fantastic work from you with our topic of Stories from other cultures.  Next week, we are going to start writing our own story so get your thinking caps on.  Listen to the presentation which is very short and explains where today's story is from and then you can listen to the story on the Youtube link.

I found some music from the countries where our Cinderella stories have come from and I thought you might like to listen to them.  It is another way to experience the different cultures.  Enjoy!

You could have a go at researching some recipes from different cultures and have a go at making something different.  Do you know of a different Cinderella story?  There are many from all over the world.  The most famous one is the Disney version but remember this story has come from a traditional tale somewhere in the world many years ago.

A bit of fun!

Your final challenge is to build the tallest tower with lego or something else if you don't have lego!  Enjoy!

Have a lovely weekend.  Take care and stay safe.
