It's hard to believe that this is another week of learning from home.  How was your weekend?  Are you managing to get out and about in the sunshine?  

Maths

Today - I would like you to complete the activities on the powerpoint linked to unit and non-unit fractions.  Can you remember what they are? 

In English this week we will be learning about the story Egyptian Cinderella.

Listen to the story. I’ve also attached a power point of the story as well so that you can look at the pictures and illustrations.  I hope you enjoyed the story. 

Reading questions to answer

Today I would like you to answer some questions about the story.

1) Where was the story set?  How does the author describe the setting?

2)  Where did the main character come from?  How do you know?

3) What kind of chores did Rhodopis and the servant girls do each day?

Today’s task

I would like you to draw a picture of Rhodopis based on the writing in the book. Then write a description of what she looks like. Make sure you use words and descriptions from the story. Use the pictures from the book in the attached document below.  Don’t forget to add in different sentence openers and check your writing for full stops and capital letters.
