Good Morning Year 4!

A nice simple start to our Spring term learning.  Firstly, I would like you to tell me about your best Christmas memory this year.  You can write a short description or draw a picture.  

I have attached the Guided Reading, English and Maths for today.  This week we are focusing on a book called The Promise by Nicola Davies.  Tomorrow, we will read the whole story but for today I want you to look at the pictures and see if you can think what it might be about.  

In Maths we are focusing on the formal written method for multiplication.  Follow the method on the slides and see if you can answer the questions.  I have also included some video clips to explain the method and a game to help you with addition, subtraction and multiplication.  All you need is some playing cards, don't worry if you don't have any you can just cut up some paper and label them 1-11 in 4 different colours.
